fastest spooling turbo

I was wondering out of all the turbos made for the focus, which one is the fastest spooling. I know the precision turbo has peak torque at 3,000 rpm.

Precision turbo looks like it spools damn fast. Of course, any small turbo will spool quicker than a larger one.
All I am looking for is like 220hp at the wheels, so I really dont need a big turbo, I want something that is real streetable(sp?). Of coarse I am sure that once I get to that 220 mark, I will want more

I am going to have to say Aerocharger.
What rpm does it peak at, for torque that is? I thought that you couldnt get an Aerocharger anymore?
Nor do you really want an Aerocharger. It was a great turbo to pave the way... but I would much rather have a precision turbo setup over an AC. No boost spikes, a real management option, and support after the sale.
I've got an Aerocharger with a custom setup. I get 9psi of boost by 2400rpm, holds steady, no spiking, all the way to 6000. Torque? I dunno, I was pushing 180fwTQ at only 5psi. The turbo is good for about 200-220fwhp.

I don't think it can be beat.
Exactly, I was amazed by how quick it reaches the peak boost. If you are looking to make more power with the Aerocharger, I think Corky Bell has a turbo upgrade GT28 that is made to fit the Aerocharger focus kit.
not to sound dumb or anything but can you give me the sites for the AC kit and the Precision kit cause im looking into either building a custom setup or a straight bolt on.. any help would do thanx
Corky Bell informed me that it would take all new piping for his upgrade. I don't really think he has finished his T-28 upgrade for the AC yet. But as far as the help after the sale for AC, it is crap. I need my turbo rebuilt and I haven't been able to get any help in that area. Just my opinion though. But as far as spooling quickly, WOW!

Dont rule out my kit it will give VERY fast spool and still make 300HP for when the 220 is not enough

Actually Tom, I am really considering your kit because of the reputation for being the most reliable, and having the best engine management. At what rpm does your turbo peak at for torque? and at what psi? (if I am running 220hp)

Tom,

Do you have a <300 hp chart handy? If I remember right, you had mad boost by 3000 rpm. Big grin factor I'm guessing.

Send me an email and i will send you some

Or if some one has some they can post them

Tom's kit on a stock focus.

Once again, Chris F's AC3 dyno.

And mine's even a little faster.

The Aerocharger is making more torque until about 4500rpm. With active boost control, the Aerocharger could make as much power as Tom's kit there.

Now P we have been over this and there is NO way the AC3 can compete with the my kit ,,This is my kit on its lowest setting

I have another one i can show (low boost setting 93 fuel) that is doing 155TQ and 85HP by 2800 RPM if i knew this was going to be a contest and with those numbers it is about the same as the AC3 and yet can still make in excess of 300+HP ,,From 5200 on it was all the AC3 could do just to make the same power as stock

And i think at this point Chris F`s car had some mods

Tom
Of course your kit can make much more power. Of course.

But what is the title of this post?

"What is the fastest spooling turbo."

There's your answer, the Aerocharger. If you've got some other dyno of your kit spooling faster, go ahead and post it. Personally, I'd think something fishy was going on if you got a conventional turbo to respond that fast.
P-51: On the 'Test' run did you have a misfire to cause the spike down in TQ?
