FC Pistons = Probe pistons??

I recently took apart what I THOUGHT was a stock SVT engine, only to find that there are FC pistons (FC-2609-STD) and eagle rods in it...this threw me for a little loop. One of the pistons is melted, and i was planning on taking the 2 SVT engines I have(both with one melted piston...from 2 different cars) and making one good engine, but with the different pistons, obviously doesnt work.

I know FC is gone, but I was just searching around and, if i understand correct, probe pistons are renamed FC pistons?

If so, does anyone know if You can mix and match these? Im not sure if the FC pistons I have are low or high CR pistons, but here are some pics of them:

You could contact CFM and ask what they know about the difference (if any) between the Probe pistons and the FC. CR/weight/pin size/skirt/rings. They sell the probes...

Here is another set we removed from a Zetec. 500 easy miles and a few dyno pulls.

They were starting to deform and fail in the identical spot. Ther just isn't enough material where the ring groove is cut in relation to the valve relief.

You can see each piston is deformed in exactly the same spot.

Side view really shows it's impending seperation from it's parent
