First few mods to the new ZX3

I've been working overnight trying to get caught up at work recently. During my lunch break I've had time to rerun all the wiring to my tail lamps and to the bumper lights. Mod cost me nothing but I want to make the car more my own. As it was when I bought it, everything was done by someone else so until I get it how I like it it will never truly be my car.

Anyways, here are all the shots I took at work. The 18" TD Monza wheels will be going on the car this week after the blown out Continental gets replaced (getting it done free, again thanks to work) On Easter weekend the car will go into it's first show since I bought it. I'm scrambling to get all the stereo parts assembled and into the car by then but am having problems with a few things. Mainly carpet for the enclosure and wiring.

Right now I have the hella tails wired up so that the bottom orange lights up as a signal, the middle is always on with the lights, and the top lights are brake lights. The Fog light in the bumper comes on with the driving lights and the reverse light is functional. Instead of trying to zip tie or cover the grille lights I ran them back to the Hellas which is how the rear signals don't come on with the brakes. I ran all the top lights with the center brake light so the brake lights no longer act as signals. Once again I managed to avoid being in any pictures as did my co-worker sitting in the car in several of the shots.

As it stands, the car fails the Coke can test, I might have to do something about it soon as the lots in the city are not friendly to lowered vehicles

I will be putting my Hotwheels Redlins on this car, I still have them from Malibloo. They will be my daily driver wheels, the 18s will be for show and cruise nights only.

One last shot of Malibloo, it was a great car and no question saved my ass, walked away from my accident without even a scratch... RIP :(

At some point the stock lights are being replaced with ST170s (or whichever version of those are gray , not black or chrome). The car formerly belonged to Jason (thabrat) He bought a brand new Civic shortly after I picked this car up from him. He's from Saskatchewan as well so I kinda picked a good time to wrap my old car around a pole (not that there really is a good time for that) The ammount I got for the fully loaded ZX5 (leather, advancetrac, etc...) just about covered the price Jason was asking, after selling the DVD player and sub from the car, and recouping the tax from the insurance company I just about broke even. Not bad considering this car is a year newer with 1/3 the mileage.

Right now I have $500 worth of Audio wiring coming from Knukonceptz.com. Bill was kind enough to cover the tab for me, I will be doing a bunch of art for him in the future. I start a new job in Edmonton, Alberta in June so I'll be able to save for a turbo kit, coilovers, and a new interior. I just have to decide which turbo kit I want.

I no longer find the doors annoying, but I am really strong so one arming the door up isn't a concern. Female passengers can't even lift the passenger door from inside though (and I'm not the type that opens doors for chicks) so I am going to look into stronger lifts in the fenders, or a button activated actuator with up and down buttons mounted in the key cover portion of the handle.

Lots of plans...
