Well....I've had this kit on my car for a few months. Now Im lookin in to 17's. With all the "problems" people have had with it being lower than said to be...what tire size do you people think would fit with this lower than advertised drop? 215/40/17. thats the smallest I'll go...or shuld i just stick to 16's??

35/40 isn't that low so you'll be just fine. just find a wheel with an offset that is between 42-45mm(THIS IS THE KEY). the reommended tire size is 205/45/17 but 215/40/17(what i run) is just fine for that drop.

Ok, true...it isnt, but this kit seems to lower the car more than it says. In the front, my stock 16's fill the wheel well leaving bout 2 or 2 1/2 finger width(depending on the size of ya finners).

I have the FK 35/40 drop with 17" OZ Superleggras(+42mm) I run Falken 451's in a 215/40/17 size. I drive the car hard and get no rubbing at all.

A 215/04/17 tire is just a tad smaller than the stock 205/50/16.

Now you say 45mm offset... but SVT wheels are 49mm? and my Rota SDR's are 48mm

I run 215/40/17 with no rubbing issues. on intrax springs and now GC coil overs and koni's

I am going to crank the car lower prolly tomorrow

49 offset pulls the wheels in closer to the shocks/struts. when you lower the coilovers, drive around and take off your wheels and check to see if ur rubbing.

It does pull it in closer but with stock being 49 for the svt and 52 something for the zx3 48 is a great offset.

dont forget that the svt wheels are 17x7 and stockers are 15x6 & 16x6.

Aaron, I think you should be fine running 17's. You might rub with 215/45/17 under hard corning, but I don't think that it would be that bad normally. I think that it would be safer to run 215/40/17 or 205/45/17 but do you want to risk bending a rim with the crappy roads around Lansing area?
