I think the 50 series would be best unless you want it to be reallly loud then 60 would suit you better. I'm probably going to do a muffler shop exhaust with a flowmaster too. I always wanted to get a flowmaster but didn't like it because they didn't offer stainless mufflers but now they finally do! The 40,50, and I think 60 series mufflers with an "ss" on the end of them means the stainless version in case your interested too.

While this is a good question, I don't think a triple post is warranted (SPI forum, Team Tech. and Off Topic) . You need to decide which two to have locked. You know the rules. If no-one else can do it without lock, you can't either.

danielsan!!!! Miagison say bonzai tree die when you triple post! NO MO MULTI POST OKAY!! The one in pit stop is locked and the one in tech is falling to the waistside so I'll just leave this one for now.

went to a nearby muff shop today. that place sucked a fat one!!! only one guy does the work & he has awful customer service!!! when i told em i wanted a flowmaster he gave me a wierd look & tried to steer me towards a "turbo" muff. also made up some excuse saying that flows are too big to fit on a focus with just barely lookin under my car for like 10 secs. also said 2" pipe is the biggest i can go, cause under there is so tight. well.....monday ima check out a way better place called ray o neals welding & exhaust specialists. my bro in law took his explorer there & should have took his advice when he told me to go there. i didnt cause its like 12 miles away, compared to like 3 at the crappy place. but he got his exhaust exactly the way he wanted it, so maybe ill have better luck there as well!!!

PS....still dont know if i should get a 40 or 50. leaning towards 50 though, cause i feel a 40 will give me more of a ricer sound.

For a while I had one of those Ebay muffler/tip combos that is made out od T-304?? stainless in place of the resonator. it made a unique sound. Not ricey but not deep like my Magnaflow. It is sitting in my garage right now. While there was no real discernable difference power wise with the tip, it looked better than the rusty lunchbox resonator we have. The end looks like a Magnaflow end, but the muffler is about 18" long and and around 12" round. If you want, shoot me a PM and you're welcome to it. I'm sure shipping to Hawaii is high, but if I put myself in the box too I can help you install it.

*sigh*.......i just came back from rays exhaust & welding. there & 2 other places. gosh darn it!!! rays place is top notch but hes says a muff & tailpipe is gonna be $425!!!!(aluminized 60 flow muff & pipes) thats for the flow, labor & pipes. not including a ss tip. that was WAY too high for me, so there was a couple of other places i went, but seemed 2nd rate to me. so i really didnt trust those guys. so basiclly......im stuck!!!
no online cat backs for me cuz shipping is $100 plus to hawaii, only decent exhaust place on maui charges as high as a full cat back online. i think rays is so high cuz he knows hes good at what he does & others arent on par with that place.
anyways........my search continues for an exhaust.....
