Finest Five of Focus Rising

  • The judges will pick what they consider the "Finest Five of Focus Rising".
  • These five cars will be showcased at the awards ceremony that evening.
  • The judges will then reveal the winner of the Finest Five of Focus Rising. The winner will get their car featured on the Focus Rising 14 T-shirt

Judging
There will be only two judges this year.
Jason Hodges aka Ataru
Ron Myers aka focaljet-1

Both judges will judge the Carlisle classes together on a 50 point scale.

Exterior - 10 points
Interior - 10 points
Wheels/Suspension - 10 points
Engine Bay - 10 points
Display/Cleanliness - 10 points
--------------------
Total - 50 points

The car with the highest score in each class will win the class.

Focus Rising Special Class winners will be decided by judges personal picks and not given an official "score".

Sponsor Class winners will be decided by the sponsor or someone appointed by the sponsor to pick their favorite car.

Tips to help you for car show judging:
  1. Clean your car!
  2. Having a display board that talks about your modifications is not required, but it doesn't hurt your score either.
  3. If you haven't done so, CLEAN YOUR CAR!
  4. Have your hood open for judging. Closed hoods will result in a score of 0!
  5. Make sure your car is CLEAN!
  6. If you want your interior judged, have your window down. If we can't see in the interior, we can't judge it, and we will give a score of 0 for that portion.
  7. Have a buddy come over before you leave for Focus Rising and HELP YOU CLEAN YOUR CAR!
  8. If you have a modification in your trunk or hatch, that needs to be open as well to show. A trunk or hatch that is closed will not count against the car (some people keep their stuff for the show in there, which is fine) but if you have something to show off, we need to see it so it can be judged.
  9. Finally, when you get to the showfield that morning, go over your car one more time and MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAN!

We are looking for quality, not quantity. A car with a ton of modifications won't necessarily win it's class. A car that is clean and tastefully modded will stand a better chance. Have your car clean and open to show.

It's also helpful (but not required) that the car's owner be waRshed as well* Please note that mullets will count as an automatic disqualification.

[SUB]*unwaRshed owners are asked to keep a healthy distance from judges dependent upon how long it has been since last good waRsh.... unless you are of the female variety in which case you are encouraged to waRsh yourself along with your car while the judges are present. Purely for entertainment purposes; it will not affect your score. Apologies to Ken - he started this and I'm just continuing to poke fun at him.[/SUB]
