I may bring my laptop and projector so I can gather with some MADE friends and Focus Rising peeps for an outdoor movie. I just need to figure out a sound system before we do it.

 

I have a pa system its not high end but would work for this.

 

Only 5 rooms left at Motel 6 according to the 800 number. I booked in from Thursday to Sunday and can't wait!

Wet have rooms reserved under Focus Rising. Unless you called the number in the first post and mentioned the group name or group number, you got one of the rooms left that is not held by us.

I called the 800 number and talked to Motel 6 reservations. I gave her the Focus Rising numbers and got the group rate. She said I was lucky since there were only 5 rooms left. I could have heard her wrong or she might have been confused. I thought it was a little weird, but decided to post up just in case.

I'm not sure if I'll be making it up there. I haven't been to Focus Rising since 2010 for one reason or another. In 2011 and 2012, I chose to make points races rather than the car show. Just my style I guess.

There are plenty of hotels in the Carlisle area, but I am sure they are all booking up faster as well due to the 50th anniversary of the Mustang this year. The Best Western Carlisle shares the parking lot with the Motel 6 and would be a good choice if you still need to find a room after the Motel 6 books up.

I can confirm all booked up.

I grabbed one at the super 8 around the bend if anyone would like to join me at the overflow.

The links I found really didn't mention anything other than a basic car show. Never been, never inquired. So I'm all but lost.

 

Same here... I've always heard that there's an autocross, I've just never gotten the info to go and do the damn thing! It's usually Sunday, right?!

 

Yes, there is autocross held at the fairgrounds. On Thursday & Friday we put together our own things to do including a welcome dinner on thursday at 7 pm and a dyne day friday morning and McNew's. On Saturday we have a huge caravan (Focus Rising was the largest group and we like to continue that tradition) to the showfield and that's where tons of fun happens (burnouts, swap meet, hanging out) then later in the day we do a cookout and awards. Sunday you can go back to the snowfield for autocross and the awards ceremony for Carlisle itself and there is usually a cruise we do Sunday evening. Exact details will be disclosed to the general public on here in the near future.

Where is everyone booking hotels atm. Like to get one with other focus guys? Also looking for people who might want to bunk up and save some cash. We have 3 guys going in on a room atm. Maybe 1 or two more, makes it a cheap weekend.

 

Can somebody bring FR and Focaljet stickers that i can purchase?

 

Usually, we handout our own Focus Rising goodie bags as well. I'll talk to Ron, but there's usually always FJ/FR stuff there to purchase as well.
