<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Ford built their own V6 Focus a long time ago and decided that a 170hp Zetec would be the way to go.

We are far more likely to see a force-fed four than a V6.

in any case, SVT is not planning to use the v-6 in the focus anytime soon.

Shiva, do you have eny experience behind the wheel as your post would suggest? Maybe you could offer some insight we missed before?

BTW, I'll take that car in a nice BRG please.

Massive stereo on the way.

In any case.

When I spoke to the person who was driving the car, it was at our last Miller's bar meeting (which we need to have soon).

Drew was there and he took a ton of pictures.

yes it was all aluminum but it took up too much of the drive bay. They had to re-do the suspension to handle the weight. It still had a predisposition for understeer.

If you guys are willing to shell out SVT contour prices for a focus with a v6, then go ask SVT to make it.

I've driven ZX3 Tuning's car and it is not front heavy. They run FK coilovers with Mondeo springs instead of the Focus ones. And the engine bay is not that tight, since they have enough room to put twin turbo's on it and all that goes with them.

They had a nice Stage 1 Rousch stang there too.

The article that went with the pictures claimed that there were only two built and the other one had been dismantled. I suppose it could be wrong though, I'm not sure how old it is.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The V6 engine only weighs 40lbs more than the Zetec, so its basically the difference between me and a skinny friend driving. Sorry man but get the facts str8 before letting out statements.

This is what I don't get...
What's the point of putting a V-6 into a car such as the FOCI SVT?? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the Sport Compact scene?? Don't get me wrong I do finding engine swaps interesting (this one included)...But everytime I see this swap it's seems like some Mustang lover is just trying to make the FOCI into an ol'skool Hot Rod....

Just an opinion...

Love the outside of the SVT though...

So the 2.3 PZEV ,all aluminum motor is 40lbs.lighter than the 2.0 iron block zetec. Now you WILL feel an 80 lb. difference between the V-6 duratec and the 2.3 PZEV.

Anyhow, I heard that the V-6 could not pass frontal crash requirements.

Has anyone seen this beauty:

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">to answer the question, yes the cars build up has been documented on focaljet. it is not an svt though. (or are you just saying that you want a v6 svt?)

i remember that plans were to bi turbo this beast.

there are a few other v6 focuses around, ford built one and there was a wagon that had a monster 6 under the hood 450hp if i remember correctly.
