Re: FOG LIGHT HELP!!

you would be better off to install a seperate switch, sense your harness probably doesnt have the fog connectors.
Re: FOG LIGHT HELP!!

Yeah, you have to install a seperate switch. If youve installed aftermarket fog lights into a car before, just follow that procedure, and install the trigger wire into the car, relay under the hood, and run the wires to the front, but re-use your R/S Fog light lamps, and everything will work ok.
Re: FOG LIGHT HELP!!

Now i know im bringing this back from the dead.

Im putting foglights on my foglightless car. It seems that i have the harness since there are connectors that hook up to the bulbs - although too short. I also have the switch. I need the relay as well?

Thanks

Re: FOG LIGHT HELP!!

A relay is always a good idea with lighting and any other accessory that draws a lot of power. It isolates your (pricey) interior switch from the flow of power being drawn by the bulbs. Power will flow from the source through a fuse (right?) through the relay and to the bulbs. No chance to burn out the switch in some freak grounding mishap. People also say that voltage drop is minimized when you avoid the switch, something that lighting can be sensitive to.

Do the relay.
Re: FOG LIGHT HELP!!

Well I actually just did the fog light mod for now. Extended the harness and plugged her in. All go! Thanks for the help
