Since the MKI Focus RS launched in Europe people occasionally start threads asking about importing non-US cars.
It usually ends up with someone asking why not ship the car over without an engine, ship the engine separately, and then reassemble the car as a "kit car".
Sounds good in theory, but it doesn't work. Here's a current story about some GT-R owners getting their cars confiscated by the Dept. of Justice after buying cars from an importing trying just such a scheme.
