The plan is a 2.3 swap with either a F2 turbo or a Rotrex Supercharger, I am not sure if we are going to make it rear wheel drive or front wheel drive, we still have to do alot of research.

She will be getting a Cage

Re: My 1980 Ford Fiesta MK1 Build Thread

man, that thing is CLEAN Rob!!!

My Grandma used to have a 78 Fiesta that she bought brand new....it was the same color. Unfortunately the frame rusted out and she had to junk it, but it ran good. It had a 1.6L Kent motor and a 5 speed...and NO power steering. My Grandma used to be cool.

Re: My 1980 Ford Fiesta MK1 Build Thread

way ahead of you ;)

i have been on there for over a week ;) and there is a guy doing a duratec swap that Ricardo is talking to and also there are some "gents" that will ship for me.

them boys on that forum are awesome, there is zero BS and drama on that site

http://www.m-99.co.uk/Car_Bodykits/Ford_Fiesta_MK1/ford_fiesta_mk1.html will ship them and i only want the flares so it will be around $150 plus shipping and im sure it can be cheaper shipping with F2's accounts with international shipping companies :)

Re: My 1980 Ford Fiesta MK1 Build Thread

I dunno about the wheels yet. :dunno: I need to see them on the car first before I give you my final thoughts.

Duratec swap, fender flares, wider wheels, dropped, just add tint and bewst and I might have to do a barrel roll out of sheer excitement!

(wow, after I typed that, I kinda heard that guys voice who is trying to sell you his book on how to get free money to pay off your student loans, mortgage......you know, the one who wore the outfit with all of the question marks on it.....yea, that guy )

Re: My 1980 Ford Fiesta MK1 Build Thread

well i know the car was bought new in New Jersey, then unknown for 15 years, then it ended up in SoCal 2nd owner drove it as a second car and then gave it to his daughter, well the daughter didnt know anything about the car and it was about 25 years old so she sold it to the 3rd owner (the guy who i bought it from) Lived in Riverside Ca (a very dry warn climate)and he was going to restore it or something and then never got around to it and it was covered in his back yard. Now I own it

wish you owed me a few favors. lol i need some rs parts.

Rob I wish you lived a few thousand miles closer.. I would love to help you with this project. I have wanted a fiesta for years. I always thought a mazda bpt would be a great motor swap, just like in the festivas. Any plans on a color yet? I actually think the factory color looks great! I vote for stock paint
