Cool page!

I also like the hidden features page. Sorta reminds me of a video game page.

Synchromesh on reverse (MTX-75) All Focus fitted with the MTX-75 gearbox have a Synchromesh on the reverse gear (all normal 2.0L, but not ST170, and all TDCi). You can slot the car into reverse even when the car is not standing dead still, without crunching the gears or doing any damage to the gearbox.

Is that true on US focii?

Global closing is pretty sweet! Wish we had that! A lot of those features are really neat, wonder why we don't have most of them? We always get left out of the good stuff!

Synchromesh on the reverse gear - This does not mean that you can select reverse at high speeds it justs means that you do not have to be at a Dead Stop.

Selective unlocking Your Focus can be set to unlock all doors at once by pressing the unlock button on the key remote, or it can be set to unlock the drivers door only with the first press of the remote, and if necessary all the other doors can be unlocked by pressing the remote button a second time within 2 seconds of pressing it the first time. This must be set using the WDS* or on later Focus' (those that have a blue Ford oval on the back of the remote key) you can program it yourself. Stand next to your Focus and simply press and hold the unlock and lock buttons of the remote key simultaneously. Hold them in until you see the hazard lights give two flashes. This is confirmation that your selective locking is programmed. To return the central locking to normal, simply repeat the procedure, and the hazard lights will confirm with two flashes.

Auto locking doors On all face lifted Focus', the doors can be programmed to lock automatically when you pull off (and speed exceeds 6km/h). On all Focus' sold since June 2003, it should have already been programmed by the dealer. The dealer needs to program the auto-locking feature using the WDS.

Self locking doors If your car is locked, and you unlock it using the remote but do not open any of the doors immediately, the car will automatically lock itself after 45 seconds. This is a security feature for when you have accidentally unlocked your doors without knowing. If you open any door within 45 seconds after unlocking it, the self locking feature is cancelled.

dont got it!?

Double locking To 'double' lock your Focus, press the lock button twice within 3 seconds. The hazard lights will flash twice to confirm that the car is double locked. Now your Focus' doors cannot be opened from either the outside or inside. This is a security feature preventing would be thieves from breaking a window and gaining access to the car by opening it from the inside. The double locking is de-activated by pressing the unlock button on the remote, or by unlocking the driver's door manually using the key. Warning: Never double lock your Focus with someone still inside!
