I just came back from a SRT-4 RPM show.
And let me tell you this.
Sure it's a Neon, but ass son as you put your ass in the seat and put the peddle down it all doesnt matter anymore. The moment I've sense the power of this car, I've forgotten what a Neon was. The interior is great, the seats is awesome, the power is terrific, everything about this car screams "WHO CARES IF IT'S A NEON!".
As for the show, basic there's 2 simple auto-x course set up. One for all out performance and one for handling performance. The all out performance is SRT-4 only, and the handling performance had the Honda Civic SI, SVT Focus, and SRT-4.
I'm just going to limit my opinion on the cars on the handling course. First we gotten in the SRT-4, this car is awesome. More grip then what my limited experience knows what to do. near instantanouse power, great suspension.
After that the SVT Focus, I was in near home in this car. But the difference is day and night. Sure the Focus handles better, but first gear is just too damn long. And the difference in power makes up for the small reduction of handling.
The Civic SI was fun, but it just sucks compare to the other two cars.
But still, I'm very pleasently surprise with the SRT-4. Hell, so surprise that I may just buy one as soon as my depts goes down and I cant finace a STi WRX at that time. Dodge litterly blow me away with this car, and it's all for under $20,000
I'm with SCC here, Car of the Year BY FAR.
