ok so i'm sitting at work and its kinda a slow week, and our one manager has been throwing car trivia at us to keep us from boredom. anyways, he likes american cars from the 50's and 60's, which i have little to no knowledge of.

so he posed a question today, and this is it:

"What is the difference between a Ford-o-matic and a Cruise-o-matic?"

from looking at stuff on the internet, the only info i could find was on some Australian site about Ford Falcons from the 60's. in a certain year, they switched from one of these transmissions to the other, i forget which though and i can't find the site anymore.

but what makes one better than the other, or what are the main differences?

IIRC, Ford-o-matic is a 2 speed (like a powerglide) and a Cruise-o-matic is 3 speed.
