Ford Service isn\'t always the Devil... (Clutch is finally fixed
Well some of you may remember back my whole big issue with my Clutchmasters Stg 4. I used a local guy to do the install who some people recommended to me. Well ever since the install nothing was right. First it WOULD NOT go into gear past 5K rpms. Then after that kind of went away on it's own. It wouldn't hold any power. So it has never worked right in the 5-10K miles I've had it on.
Well Ford found the issue. The 1st guy cross threaded all of the install bolts and the clutch was not mounted flush. So needless to say this screwed up everything. Ford had to re-tap the holes. Clean up the flywheel face and install my new clutch. 800.00 later I finally have a car that works like it is supposed to. Clutch pedal is seemingly lighter than stock and it drives perfectly!!
I love it. Yes I paid more for the install, but sometimes it just pays to go to someone who knows your car.
Props to RSM Ford here in da OC!!! They did a great job and they ARE mod friendly. Just be honest and they help you out, as long as you dont try to dup them!!
