Well I went to meet up with a fellow/former FJ'er today at Englishtown this morning to get his Steeda short throw shifter. While driving up there I though I heard the DSI motor act up for a spilt second. I pull over in a parking lot and noticed that the cable is off the intake AGAIN! I had the same thing happen this time last year with the orginal design before I got the redesigned intake.

The car is sitting at the dealer with info filled out for early bird special tommorow with 50 miles left on my warrenty!
I just need to call for a loaner car now and hopefully I wont get too much of a headache. Now I need a new Cat, Intake and the ECU reflashed!

Is the DSI cable a quick fix for the dealer? I'm pretty sure mines f'd.

I am not totally sure but I believe they replace it with a new updated intake so that most likely would have to be special ordered or dealer located.Although he did mention that the new intake DSI broke too now.

Yeah if I remember right the cable pulled out of the old one and now with the redesigned one, the whole plastic thing snapped off the side of the intake and is just dangling there. What gets me is that it happened nearly a year after the first one broke! I hope this isnt a pattern and I'll be doing the same thing next year

Oh well I can call SVT now and get them to do the ECU reflash while their doing the Cat and Intake
