No tune is needed, however, a tune will help achieve your mods full potential. Your car should run just fine/better now. Haven't heard any complaints about a bogging problem. You should be really pleased with the quality product you just purchased.

 

The Cool-Flo does not require an ECU program at all. If your car is bogging, there is an issue with the car or the installation.

Do you have any fellow jetters who live in your region? Maybe someone can have a look if you aren't able to figure out what it up.

 

how come the k&n required it ecu program cuz i heard form other people on here they have had the same problems with the k&n in there car

 

Because we designed the Cool-Flo correctly. K&N is inconsistent when it comes to the Focus.

I've read of the same (bogging) issues with Steeda -- mainly on ATX cars. I didn't have an issue when I had a Steeda on my Fusion Duratec, but apparently the Focus is more picky?

 

I have the FSWerks CAI on my '09 and not had any issues with it at all. Great piece from a great company that knows it's stuff.

 

thanks i feel more assure now i knew i should have done some more research on the k&n yea i have heard on here that people where having the same problem with the k&n and kept them on i dont know how some one can drive like that its annoying when it bogs out but yea they said it was fixable but with a tuner witch i did not have and dont have the money for one rite now but later i will

 

one more question i have an 09 and it has those two vac hoses on there i'am i going to have to drill in to the fswerks cai for the pzev vac hose i think thats what its called. like i did for the K&N that was annoying and hard to find a 5/8 drill bit i really hope i dont have to do that again

 

everything is complete on the FSwerks intake and from what i have seen on the 08+ models there is no drilling required. that may have been where you ran into a problem with the other intake becuase if there was any air leaking at the point you would have a vac leak and could cause the issues you described. i had a k&n on my 07 and never had an issue save for a lean code randomly one day

 

yea thats what i was thinking but the drill hole was perfect and the little rubber piece you had to put in there was tight really tight but idk does not matter nomore already sold it basically got my money back anyway

 

Hi, would I need an ecu tune to get the fswerks cai if I have the cfm throttle body on a 2.0 duratec? I think fswerks tried to call me about that but I was busy at the time BTW the rear stress bar was a little harder to install than I thought, but it's nice!!!

 

I'm ordering my RSB today from FSWerks so what kind of problems did you encounter? Anything I should know about the install? Thanks, Cliff

 

so i basically i got my fswerks cai and it runs great iam so glad i got it its defiantly worth it and no you dont need a tune i just got mine runs great but i will be getting one soon to make it run just as good

 

Guess they just canceled my order then. I think I want the turbo kit anyway
