My wife's car is a 97 escort...does any one know where the fuel filter is located on these cars? Or a website where I could find this info?

try asking in the SPI forum. we have some escort guys in there.

I think it was still near the firewall. I recall someone (in the SPI forum) mentioning it, and they had a newer Escort.

On a 1999 Escort ZX2, it is on the firewall.

I had a 94 escort and the fuel filter was between the engine and the fire wall. I'm not sure if it would be the same on a 97 though. You can try tracing the fuel line from the tank to the engine and it should be in line there somewhere.
