I put my JSRC on recently, and I am skeptical of the "black box", so I have been checking on my fuel trim numbers on my drive to work. What sort of values are "bad" as far as long term and short term?
I really had my foot in it at one point, and I was seeing 25-30% for a second on the short term, and as far as I understand, that is waaay lean. Normal driving on the freeway with my somewhat heavy foot keeps the short term trim between +10/-5%. The long term never ventures past 10%, and never really goes negative. For now I am going to keep my foot out of it, until I get a handle on what is going on, but I was just wondering if I was seeing potential disaster.
I realize that this post will probably get a handful of "the black box is crap" responses, but for right now I am going to try and stick it out until I get a proper tune. I am still trying to figure out the direction and money I want to throw at my daily driver right now.
