I found a Strut tower bar for a Durotec for sale for $30. He says it's the original focus central strut bar. I was just wondering if this is a good price and product

It is an excellent price, my experience with the FC strut bar is that it doesn't fit well at all.
I'd look to one of the companies that are currently making them, FS, Massive, etc you will pay a little more but you will get a better part.

FocusSport Fits best with the Best Quality.
If you are expecting Handling Improvement, do a "Search" on "Strut bars" here, and then decide for yourself after reading 5 or 6 threads.

Agreed with MichaelXi...there is a lot of heated debate about the value of a strut tower brace, due largely to the fact that track Foci and autocross Foci don't experience much of an improvement, if any, out of such a modification. Also, the strut towers on the Focus is close to the firewall, and therefore the suspension is fairly stable due to the close proximity of heavy structure.

All of that being said, there are people that swear by them, so do some research, and come up with your best solution!

I agree! Not really sure if they do much. It is tough for me to tell because I went from stock to H&R coilovers with the bars. It seems to help tie everything together. However it could be in my head!
