Got myself a new car...

Some of you might remember my Twilight Blue 2000 ZX3 (I'm Matt from Pittsburgh). I sold that shell to BowDown back in September and over Thanksgiving Break, I went out and bought myself a new ride! It's a 2003 Focus ZX3 - 5spd - Power Premium. I love the added options I didn't have before such as the cruise, tilt wheel, moon roof, power windows, and the 6-CD Changer (although it broke already!). It's all stock now, but I plan on doing some exterior mods over Christmas Break. I have painted moldings, hatch trim & handles, SVT mirrors, glossy B-pillar trim & sail panels, custom shorty antenna, and possibly a rear bumper. I'll update this thread when those mods are complete!

Very nice!! You also seem to have some good tasteful mods for the future.

Well, I've been through this game before. I had the Twilight ZX3 since June of 2002. I've learned a few things over the past 2.5 years.

PZEV? Looks good!
Unfortunately no. However, I don't mind because I got this car for $4500 under Blue Book! This car isn't going to be all about performance either. I'm making it good looking and comfortable, but with a nice suspension.

horah! i want my sun roof to have a power switch. dumb crank
Nah, my crank sunroof is the best feature on my car. The girls LOVE it
Image

If you want to open the roof but don't want people to see the crank, just turn the radio up and put your hands in the air and pretend you are rocking out while you crank the roof.

Works like a charm every time

That's beautiful. I think mine has more pimp value to it, however.

One touch.

Yeah, but just being friends with you is worth well over 10,000,000 points.

Dumbass...

I got a hell of a deal on the old car. Just a couple tips for this car if ya dont mind:

-No wire nutts. Wire nutts bad. Soldering irons are cheap...
-Tap into stock harness, don't cut off stock connectors.
-Red is not the universal aftermarket wire color
-If a wire is too long cut it to length.
-If you find a sudden urge to take this focus apart in a million pieces, give me a call and I will dolly it back

If I'd have done more than 10% of anything electical in that car, I might take that as an insult. I guess I'll do everything myself this time around.

When you get a decent car into the hands of a 16 year old ricer, what can you do?

At 19, I'm much wiser.

Add some tint and a short shifter and it would look alot like mine.
Those are in the plans. That's not all though!

Cool car, glad to see that you decided to get another Focus. Its weird that your car doesn't have glossy rear triangles, though. My 2003 came with them from the factory.

Really? That's weird. I've only seen them on the SVT's. Oh well. They're like $5/ea. I don't think I'll break the bank upgrading to them!

And yes, Power Premium does rock.
