so the extra weight and molding process are the only differences? why would anyone buy the more expensive one if this one will work just as good?
BTW there are about 20 adds in Grassroots on this already. lol

The bling of carbon fiber and to not have even more weight around their neck.

I guess when you spend thosands to get ligther weight fastener to get 5lbs off. paying a bit extra for the weight savings seems like a good idea plus that less weight on your shoulder can make it easier to climb out of your F1... and it says Professional so if you want to be a pro get the real Professional one... (just in case that was some between ... and ... sarcaism)

^why

I mean other than the fact that it looks awesome.
None of 'em are terribly cheap, so you might as well get the best.

What annoys me, though, is that I bought mine before HANS flattened their pricing structure, so my Model 30 was $1700.

Having the lighter HANS and helmet simply makes for more comfort. Together they're only about $3100 - which is basically what you'd pay to rent an SF for a weekend.

My head isn't worth that much  My helmet was <$300, and I would feel comfortable wearing a $650 HANS device. I could still race half a weekend worth of SF and have some leftover to get a nice dinner

^werd. My philosophy isnt quite "eh I spend 700 anyway I may as well just double it!" lol
If its safer and more comfortable and still 700 then I can agree with it but my helmet will be <500 too.
