Why are you planning to wrap it???
you may want to reconcider having your header jet hot coated. I have been looking in to this my self and everyone I have talked to that used header wrap ended up craking a pipe. not saying that this would happen to you but coating the header just seems to be more reliable.

good luck
wrap kills pipes...notice race cars dont have it any more

Which race series are you referring to? I go to several historic/vintage races a year and header wrap is very, very popular.

These aren't street cars with stickers on them either, many are full blown retired Trans Am series cars and old sports racers, There are some very serious cars at these events.

Header wrap drastically reduces underhood temps which is beneficial in many ways.

I will be wrapping the header on my SVT as soon as I get the chance.
I have used header wrap on heavy gauge header tubes before like the ones you have mentioned. the problem lies in the gauge pipe that ford and the aftermarket have been using in the headers. the heat is just too much for the thin gauge pipe. I don't understand exactly how the jet hot coat prevents the pipe cracking. I think what is happing is they are coating the inside and the outside of the pipe so the heat is not able to enter the metal at all. so far everyone I have talked to no one has cracked a thin gauge header that was coated, and the under hood temp is about the same weather it is coated or wraped. it is up to you I just wanted to let you know what I have found.

JET-HOT creates a thermal barrier to protect headers - inside and out

if you watch their videotape, they get the inside too.
cool
