Hey guys, I was wondering if there is any reason why I can't (after a little modification to the wiring harnes), install a set of aftermarket cool blue headlight bulbs into the fog lights? I ordered the aftermarket fog lights off ebay, but they got here and turned out to be for the headlights, not the foglights. The wiring harnes for the foglights dont match up to the bulbs, but if I could wire them in somehow, Would it work? I dont know how much more power headlight bulbs pull VS the foglights, am I going to blow a fuse or something?

Thanks guys.

Not sure but I think you would melt the plastic fog light with the heat generated from the headlight bulb (55W ?).

Headlights are typically 55w on the low beam.

It is possible that the lens won't take the heat of the higher bulb. The bulb for the headlights has a larger element, and larger bulb. Which would bring the heat that much closer to the lense. I think thats where the main problem might be. You could replace the plastic lenses with glass though.

The factory bulbs in the driving lights are 35w. I've replaced mine with a 50w bulb and have had no problems. However, I'll note that I rarely turn on the driving lights.
