To answer your question, yes you can do it for cheap. 20-30 minutes at highway speed, then 2-3 minutes in a parking lot close to the house, if you can safely do a figure 8. Doesn't have to be fast, other wise driving around the block several times in both directions should be ok. Main thing is get them SLOWLY to working temp, then let them set OFF THE GROUND (no weight on them )to cool overnight. This does strenghten the molecular bonds. Catch 22 is you can only get this done on a <font color="blue">NEW </font> , never on ground set. Tires can pick up minute pebbles that will ruin the blades they use to shave.
