There are 3 (maybe more) Torx screws that hold the factory guage face down. Remove the screws and then gently pry up on the face plate to remove it. On the back side of the faceplate you will then see the end of the trip reset button. Pinch the bottom of the reset button together and then push it out of the guage face.
