Construction on route 6 on the way home... a rock in the road.. not too big. went to go around it, but couldn't go far enough (oncoming traffic, rather hit the rock than the cars)..

THUD

[censored]!!! i say. no vibration, no pulling left or right, but the steering wheel is a little off.

get home, check my tire. pressure is okay, the outer lip of the wheel (motegi MR3) is slightly bent, but not bad.

called ford. appt tomorrow for an alignment.

went to put my cam gear cover on (just in case)... but... the fidanza cam gears hit it.

oh well. they like me there.
now i get to go into work EARLY... (6am) so i can be at ford for 3pm.

grrr...

think i could have bent anything?

the rock wasn't too big.. maybe 2" tall

Gotta luv good ol' route 6
Thankfully I rarely have to drive it anymore.

Did you take it up over 50-60mph afterwards?
I bent a rim on a Golf and didn't feel anything weird until it hit 65, then it'd shake bad.

i was around 60 afterwords, had no vibration. if i do have it off balance, i can get my wheels balanced for free... it's just the alignment that will cost me.

good ole' route 6. you see what they are doing in the eastern part of the state (brooklyn)?

annoying.

$55.60 later... alignment (i think) is done.

and everything checked out okay... except that little bend in the wheel.
