hey, im thinkin turbo here within the next half a year. waht all do i need to run about 7-15 pounds? t3 t4? where can i find a turbo mani? and what do i need ecu wise? sorry im kinda new in the forced induction area.. your help is greatly appreciated.

well, what kinda car do you have? what engine?

If you have the Duratec i would suggest the FocusSport kit.

If you have the Zetec then i would talk to Drew (focusownerskid) about the turbo kit he and a friend are working on right now.

if you have what your name suggests, 2000 focus zx3 with the zetec, id suggest the xios... ive heard they are makin pretty good power.

I havent seen anything out of the Xios for zx3s whatsoever , other than the Prototype Dudley(wherever he may be these days) was driving around with.

Something to rember is the amount of power your turbo puts out has a lot more to do with it than just the PSI. Remember that a larger turbo flows more air at the same pressure as a smaller turbo. 7-15 pounds is not equal. Decide how much power you want to make and where in the RPM band you want it.......Oh yeah, and how deep your pockets are. :D

my pockets aren't to deep.. i was thinkin about buying an old ford probe turbo and doing some manual labor =]
and i would get a universal front mount kit.. but what would i need ecu wise?? and i know, im going to need ALOT of tuning. oh, and im thinkin 7 or 8 pounds now.. (stock internals) and down the road when i rebuild somewhere around 15 pounds.. and for rpm range i think i want to be fully spooled around 3000 to 3500 rpms...

If you're going the used turbo direction, which I certainly won't bash you for, I'd look into a T3 from a Thunderbird.
They're cheap and plentiful and make great power.
My advice is to rebuild it before installing though.
You WILL have a decent amount of fab work to do though.
