I know it sounds like a dumb "Q" but yesterday I brought my car in for some work and they got my car on the lift, but when it went up my skirt got cought and riped off! (well its more like the lift hits the skirts) it sucked major and I have to get my car back to the body shop now. My car is extra low, and I need a way for Ford to work on my car w/o hurting my baby. So how do you guys do it?

They should be able to do it without f-ing it up in the first place. The guy who put your car on the lift was a peabrain. Talk to the Service Manager and demand that they take better care of your vehicle.
Well they thought that they were doing it "rite" they used wood block and picked it up (using man power) to get it on the lift. As I was standing there I heard a crack then bam there went the skirt. It's not geting it on its the bars on the side of the lift. I know they should have taken better care of my baby. When they were trying to get the skirt back on they stated that it had happend b 4. So it was not the first time, and the only reason I even knew about it was cuz I saw it. I guess they coverd there tracks last time but not good enough. Sooooooooo what should I do. No one will work on my car as in oil changes cuz its so damb low!!! Ford is the only place that will work on it. But there has to be a better way of getting the the car up, or up on the lift.
we have a place called quick lube that instead of raising the car they have a basement type of area that gives them access to the undercarage try finding a place like that jiffy lube hes that sort of thing.

I have a few of thoes by my house, but when something goes wrong on the car (we do own a focus) they lift it up and start looking around and all that yum stuff so yah. I just don't know what to do. And it sucks cuz when they do "F" up the car they don't tell me, so I can get it fixed. It's the guys in the back that don't want to get in trouble w/the big boss.
I swear, the first ten times I read this, I thought you were talking about the jack ripping your skirt (clothing) off.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO any on know what els I can do???????????
With body kits you assume some risk..... I'd be doing it myself only!
How low is your Focus? I mean really they shouldnt need to use manpower to lift the car up on the lift. Seriously Celicas can get on all the lifts I use with no problem and that car is alot lower to the ground then a stock Focus.
It should have worked w/ wood blocks, they are just dumbasses... Listen to Todd, do it yourself!!! You know how low mine is, that's why I am the only Certified Ford mechanic that touches my Focus!!!

i've got progress springs and a standard sized jack wont fit under my car unless i lift it(which is why i have a huge low profile jack). when i get my car serviced(take it to my buddy who's a ford tech and i give him a hand) i have to lift up on the fenders so he can slide the arms under the car.
