How many JRSC\'s are here on Focaljet?

Who has this kit installed on their cars? Any reliability issues? How many miles have you driven since the kit went on? Thanks in advance for the info!

Punk ass...LoL You know of one. About 3000 on the blower and no issues other than fitment with the auto tranny. However, I cured that problem. :)

Mine has been on since late Feb, about 3000 miles also, no probs, and it gets ran hard.

Approaching 10 mos. (10,000 miles) and not one problem.

Would this be in any way related to the "AC=blown motor" thread?

Re: How many JRSC\'s are here on Focaljet?

Every time I see posts like this with success stories about the JRSC it makes me want one more and more. I want reliability and going Turbo just doesn't seem to be working for a few people.

I'll post the results of mine after I get it installed, I hope to do it pretty soon, but I was wondering if most of you have installed an oil cooler and remote filter? I just got my kit so I'll be installing it also when I do the JRSC.

without going into details until I'm ready to post everything--I've had mine for a year, from 5lb. (stock kit) to the new 7lb. (modified big boost kit, from Oscar, still in R&D), no problems so far. Oscar is a staunch believer in engineering 'the whole package', and this upgrade works nicely, with no detonation, and a smooth idle. It is a HUGE difference over the 5lb kit, as far as the increased throttle response and how the car drives. I will not post everything until it's a 'go', and when Oscar is ready to answer all of your questions (and flames) that you'll have.

Re: How many JRSC\'s are here on Focaljet?

18,000 miles on my JRSC and no problems. Upgaded by Tom to 11 psi 177hp @ the whhels, but on the street I only saw 8-9psi. I just put another pulley on (even smaller) and the car seems to be fine @ 10-11psi. I think that on a average a supercharger makes about 7hp per 1psi of boost. I am now at around 200hp @ the wheels, maybe
197 or 198, and maybe a bit ove 200, don't know exactly.

The JRSC standard kit is reliable yo.

Are you over spinning the M45? 10-11 psi I think is over spinning that unit.. what size pulley do you have on it for that psi range... I had a JRSC for over 25,000 and loved it but had moderate issues from trying different things. Made 211whp with the help of N2O.. Anyway back to the original thing, overspinning, Me need more info!!!!

Re: How many JRSC\'s are here on Focaljet?

so what all is needed. Could i drive the car the same day with the JRSC installed? What all has to be adjusted and changed out. Is a dyno a must, 5th injector? Thanks!

Re: How many JRSC\'s are here on Focaljet?

Well people,

I installed my JRSC. It is great! It looks like it belongs in the engine compartment and the power is very good.

I experimented with my set up and kept my stage 1 cams. I did loose a bit of low end but at 4500 the boost kicks in very nicely and it pulls like crazy.

The car is much much faster and the torque feels very good starting around 2500 rpm all the way to 6500 rpm. I choose not to rev my car past that point just because this is my every day car and honestly I dont want to abuse it.

I'll keep you posted of any other developments. No deto!!
