I already didn't think much of your opinions, but that one just got you added to my ignore list.

On the core topic, I want a Fiesta ST far more than the aesthetically suspect Focus ST. It is a much cleaner design in my opinion.

We've been conditioned for 10 years now to not expect the good stuff. The day I see either a Focus ST or Fiesta ST on the street or at the dealership is the day I believe we are getting one.

Well, I agree with him about preferring a DIY transmission over an auto-mated computerized gear selector.

However, you are correct that wording such an opinion as that doesn't make for a good community.

While choosing an auto-manual for mileage makes sense from a corporate standpoint. I still prefer to row my own gears. It teaches you how to really drive a car well.

Looks fun to me! I also would lean more towards a true manual, but in any case 180bhp and factory turbocharging in that light of a car makes for a potentially great car. Plus, if those seats come with it, yowza

Very excited for the ST, just too bad I already got a Fiesta. Just like the SVT Focus, I always buy too early and have to wait until I am due for a new car before getting the hopped up version. Everything I have heard from some very reliable sources say that if the ST goes into production overseas, we will get a version here. This was talked about 18 months ago when I spent some time meeting with the people who brought us the Raptor, GT500, and a few other fun products. Ford is a completely different car company than they were a decade ago. If Europe gets a cool car, we get one as well. Of course, if sales of the Fiesta fall apart and the buisness case doesn't make sense, then we won't get it. However, I surely don't see that the case. Also, you really didn't think all the push for rally events with the Fiesta was just to make YouTube video's, did ya? All signs have been pointing towards a performance model. Fiesta S2000 WRC, Ken Block and Rally America Fiesta's, Fiesta's at the X-Games, Fiesta's at the RallyCross events, Gymkhana video's, and "One Ford" have all been good indicators of something awesome on the horizon.

I'll be happy when we get a turbo diesel engine like they have in Europe... lasts longer and gets better mileage from what I've heard.

I would actually prefer a 5 door. The main thing that has me wanting an ST (or RS down the road) Fiesta is the look. I like almost everything about the way the fiesta looks, the only thing I really liked on the Focus ST is the awesome interior.

could you imagine an RS Fiesta with AWD and more power? how awesome would that be?

but I'm glad to see we're getting closer.

how have the Fiesta sales been going?

Yachapohld, got any pics of your car up?

I would also prefer a 5-door (I have a kid and it just makes life easier). I would definitely not buy this unless it was available with a clutch pedal. Though it is a bonus that all my focus wheels would fit on it and it has blingin' rear disk brakes (I continue to be disappointed about the drum brakes on the regular fiesta.).

Fiesta ST in the US is NOT going to happen, period.

No one on here can say 100% definite that the Fiesta ST is or is not coming to the US. All everyone is doing is guessing. If anyone says that it definitely is or definitely is not, then they have inside information they are releasing and would get in trouble for doing so and I doubt that is the case.

That said, from everything I have heard from multiple places, I would say that the chances of a Fiesta ST in the US are fairly high. I would give it a 95% chance actually.
