i was really interested in these when i was looking for a new vehicle. but then i found out how f'n rare they are, which means they're f'n expensive.
so what was the goal?I'm pretty sure the intended goal for the thing wasn't to be fast.
I'd take one over a Cayenne.![]()
meaning offroad capability sucks for the money because of the money...i wouldn't want to get mud on something that expensiveit is very capable off road. 4-wheel and off-road gave it their 4x4 of the year award. the reason? Locking rear and center diffs, and a suspension that, when raised to its max gives over 20" of ground clearance. Partner that with the diesel, and son, you've got yourself the cushiest mountain climber ever!!!
so by your logic, Hummer H1's shouldn't get dirty either because they're $100K+.meaning offroad capability sucks for the money because of the money...i wouldn't want to get mud on something that expensive
Land Rover discoverys, Range Rovers, LR3 and event he freelander, I have seen spank an Torauge. They have wheels that are to big and bend easy, terrible blind spots and an bad break over angle the LR do better with there 300hp v8 than that thing with more power and torque me=it is very capable off road. 4-wheel and off-road gave it their 4x4 of the year award. the reason? all you said is you wouldn't want to get a Touareg muddy because of the money (~$40,000). an H1 is ~$140,000 new. i was just saying its a pretty stupid comment because there are way more capable offroaders (Touareg isn't even really meant for offroad, but can if it needs to) that cost ALOT more.so by your logic, Hummer H1's shouldn't get dirty either because they're $100K+.meaning offroad capability sucks for the money because of the money...i wouldn't want to get mud on something that expensive![]()

ur nuts right? how could you even compare the two in the same room...the H1 could freaking drive over cars and do close to 74degree inclines...ofcourse its worth gettin dirty, thats the heritage of the hummer and its built for it
on the other hand, i dont remember VW being king of the mud with their luxury SUV (which they call it, not a offroader)
