I went with the 98. To me the openings are too big for the little grill on the 02. that was my deciding factor anyway... They both look a million times better than those ugly signals. I wish there was a nice lower to match.

 

I like them both. If you're SVT was anything other than black, I'd suggest the 02+ with the painted border... but since it is black, the effect is lost.

On black you can go with either, but on any colored car the o2+ looks awesome with the surround painted.

While they don't match, I think the 02+ grille's larger mesh pattern goes better with the SVT's honeycomb lower grille.

Personally, I think the Hofele is the best Euro grille though

They both look really good. Where my car is black.... they wouldn't stand out as bad as a red or lighter color.

Question, anyone body color painted one of those Euro grilles? I'd love to see what it looks like painted the body color...

 

I'd get whichever is closest to your lower grille - going on the above photo, the 98-02 grille may suit better with the smaller sized openings.
