Heres My Car. Never gonna own a car again with out air bags. It just plain hurts lol

Also this is a good reason to wear a Seatbelt. My Life was saved by that belt when I Did this. NEVER GO ANYWHERE WITHOUT EM PEOPLE

My beautiful 69 Fairlane.

I was towing a small U-Haul trailer from Denver to Salt Lake. The trailer disconnected from the hitch and flipped 6 times, destroying everything I owned. The back end of my car was mangled but because it was a beast, I didn't flip.

I was wearing a seatbelt.

This is what happens when a VW bug changes lanes into the rear of you wonderful ford explorer at 80Mph. Flipped 3 times and spun and landed in between 2 trees that coulda impaled me, either some one loves me up ther or im just damn lucky, either way I had my seatbelt on it locked me in like those things on rollercoaster, I know it saved my life.

i know of one that happened in my town during the summer. some i kids i know were somewhat drunk and flying through a twisty backroad and hit a tree in excess of 80 mph in a civic. car rolled and came to a rest on top of one of the kids who was thrown through the windshield. other 3 kids pushed the car off of him but he bled to death right in front of them. it was pretty bad and there is not much of a car left. i can't post pics of that sorry it would bee too tragic.

Hit a tree doing about 60mph, drifting

, walked away with bruises.

Hit the center devide then the guard rail doing about 75mph. Walking around when we got to the scene.

You have to hit something pretty hard to get a wheel to split like this.

Check out this link to the NHTSA's research web site. You can pull up case files with a ton of information. If you want to get your point across, you can even show the autopsy summaries for fatal accidents, pics showing the points of impact on the interior, crash speed, etc.

Heres some shots of my mustang gt convertible. I parked in front of citibank on my way to work one morning to get some money for lunch. i walked away from the car, and heard what sounded like an explosion. i turned around, my car was gone. it was down the block . some moron fell asleep at the wheel of his gay rice altima and center punched my beatiful stang at about 60-65 mph. Im real lucky this puke didnt kill me cause i was in the car 5 seconds earlier.

Sounds horribly familiar.

Three people from my high school, one of them a close friend, were (sober) doing over 100 in a Civic on some backroads. They back end of the car apparently lost control and they went sideways into a tree. No survivors.

yeah we had one around here.. in a civic 2 best friends messin around at about 110 lost control car went into the woods, car was cut in half the passenger was killed on impact and the driver was hospitalized for cuts and burns from the exhaust tearing through the floor of the car. its a shame too but thats what will keep hapining as long as stupid kids keep going in excess of 100mph on back wooded roads

Those stories are tragic, and even somewhat depressing. Does it surprise you that all these stories are Civics going bad though?

here are pics of my first focus:

i was wearing my seatbelt and walked away a little sore and with nothing more than a small cut on my finger. i was probably going at least 65 and the impact is from a large tree (that has hardly a scratch on it)
