I wanna kinda "LUX" up my focus SVT with little things?

I have an 04 SVTF 5 Door. Inside the car just seems kinda blah, EVERY THING is black. I mean jesus the only thing that isnt is the headliner.

So Id like to do little things to change its look.

I saw on the UK foci (ST170 atleast) that the door handles are chrome or brushed aluminum? Id like to get these to give a lil splash of color andy style to the doors. Where do I find these or can I do them myself. I painted some interior bits on my 05 Focus with silver and clear and people always complimented me on how nice it was and how it looked factory. But Id much prefer to just buy the Door pulls, plus I dont wanna paint over the door lock icon). Where can I locate them and do they work for the rear doors on a zx5 ? I wasnt sure if sedans came with them or not(ie change them on my Zx5?

Next: Id like to do a dash trim Kit. I dont wanna do the convetional brushed silver kit because I think I could remove the pieces and achieve a real brushed aluminum effect myself.

However. I saw a Dark burl wood kit (looked like grey wood) trim Kit. That to me looked verry cool. It kinda was suttle because it was dark grey yet it dressed up the interior at the same time, However in a focus Im not sure if it would look gaudy.

HOWEVER: I also so a bright wood kit like this

I like how it pops from the rest of the interior.

Aluminum for kicks

I just wanna make it nice without going to gaudy looking. And if I did dash trim it would be a crap lamintet kit id have one made for it. So Im unsure. Every one has CF or silver so I wanna do something Diff. Plus it would be sparse no whole dash kit, just door handle surrounds or maybe even just the handle, the central dash and that about it so basically just like the BMW kits are. Small but makes a big diff U know?

Ok and last what else should I do? I think getting those nice floor mats that fill the whole rear footwell and the trunk mat that has SVT embroidered on it would make it look nice. Any other thought to do little things to the interior to dress it up?

Damn, I'm trying to get everything black. I just bought a SVT radio bezel to get rid of my other blue one. LOL It seems everyone has something painted, CF or aluminum, so I wanted something different. I guess I was way off. A wood kit in a all black car would look pretty cool, but it just would'nt mesh with mine...

But anyway, pretty much anything from a sedan will fit a 5dr Hatch. Hope you find something.

That's like the exact same looking trim pieces that were in my mother's Jag that had tan leather. While it looked great in a Jag, it looks kind of gay in a Focus. I'm not knocking you, you're just posting these pics to help out with the thread, so please don't take offense. BacknFocus says that he has an SVT that is all black on the inside except the headliner. I thought all SVT Foci came with inserts in the seats. Am I mistaken? I love the looks of my SVTF. The carbon fiber accents are nice along with the blue inserts and my floor mats.

I have the Racaros so the WHOLE interior is black. But I wouldnt be Putting it around the whole console like in the pics, Just dash area and doors, Think Light accents.

Please dont put wood. My friend bought a used zx3 and it already had wood in the dash, it looks horible. Not only will you not be able to find a factory looking kit, but like stated above, wood just doesnt sit well in a Focus. If your car is all black, I suggest going for a black CF kit. If you want color, try to get a CF weaved with the color of your paint, and if not that, I'd say go for the brushed.

CF weave would definitely look awesome

If you must add a bit more bling to the interior, I'd definately continue with the SVT's silver theme. HVAC controls, pedals, shift knob, and guages are already silver. I like the idea of the European door pulls (seen them for sale on UK Ebay). I forget his name, but someone on here who lives in the Tampa area put them in his car.

A nice touch would also be to have an upholstery shop change out the leather inserts in the doors and replace them with a silver leather. I think it would give it a nice subtle touch without going too nuts with the silver treatment.

That was orangeZXT and yes those look really nice :) And if you could do something with silver and carbon fiber together, that'd be nice too

I personally like the brushed aluminum.

However that's not necessarily everyone's cup of tea.

I think the accent pieces you're going after work well. It's not a big garish thing that smacks you in the face. But just enough to break up the interior a bit.

If I could find those aluminum pieces I would do the same. However the non EAP SVT's aren't quite so monochromatic on the inside.

Uhm, unless I got some queer model SVT the HVAC controls are black and the gauge faces are white. Only the pedals and the shift knob are silver.

unless you are talking about the circle surrounds underneath the knobs, but the knobs themselves are black. maybe I was confused? I'm thinking you were referring to the HVAC knobs.

They are actually a very subtle titanium color in my car....at least that is the case in the 2003-04 SVT. I guess they were white in 2002 as those in your picture definately do not look like the titanium guages in mine. Then again, mine do look white in direct sunlight. :dunno:

I never knew there was a difference in SVT gaugefaces. And yes, I do believe he's referring to the SVT HVAC surround, which is silver with black letters

My gauge faces are def white. I dunno, maybe in the 03-04s they changed it. PhocusZX3, can you post a pic of yours for some comparison??
