Task one was getting the garage clean. I don't have any pictures of it before but it was impossible to get a car in which was a shame since it's both heated and has all the tools I could predict needing.
After three long weekends and plenty of weekdays the garage was clean as a whistle and ready to pull the car in.

Since there isn't alot of info on peeps running any crazy extension on the c30, I spent two short days last week figuring out what I could fit under the fenders and the lowest final offset I was comfortable with.

Got the car up in the air and called it a day after wrestling with the hubs. The splined side of the axle coming into the hub is female instead of male. After spending some time with a BFH, I picked up a universal hub puller but I'm pretty sure that's not going to work. If you've got a slick method for pulling hubs feel free to share with the class here.

Once I get a front and back hub off I'll take them to a machine shop and see if we can make a redrill happen.

Update 1/26/10:
To access the torx bolts for the rear hub I "had" to drop the rear strut. So since this suspension is going the way of T-rex I took the stock spring out as well. Which free'd up a ton of room to work. A few min later and I got the rear hub off which almost ate my junk (in a bad way).

Went for round two on the front hub with the puller. I just don't feel good using that thing so I'm going to invest in a sliding hammer style puller. No clue what's going on with those things...

KW V1s are in transit.

From the looks of it, you have to remove the whole knuckle first.

You need to remove the ball joint on the bottom, strut from the top, and the tie rod end on the left.

Use a crow bar or pickle fork to pull the ball joint out the bottom, then loosen the strut connection. Use the BFH to tap the knuckle off the strut and then you will be able to pull the axle out of the hub/knuckle. I believe you will have to press out the hub from the front wheel bearing. same as a focus front end.
