idle problem

My car idles very low aprox 600-and then it drops down to around 550 rpm's. Today was the first time it stalled out on me. Did anyone else have this problem? Can it be the iac valve? I also noticed the other day when i slammed on my brakes for a redlight my idle stuck at like 3,000 rpm's for like 2 sec. Can ne one help me out?

What would help with diagnosing this would be list of any mods you have done to the engine. At first glance sounds like a possible vacuum leak but could be the IAC or a TB or tps issue.

so far i just have a aem short ram. when i put it on i dropped a wrench and it arched form the battery to the coil pack really bad. the maf was disconnected . i hope i didnt jack up the computer.
