So if you could buy a new Focus and for the hell of it, how you would you mod it out again? Would you opt for a new 2.3 or and SVT? etc etc...

If I could do it all over again:

Probably buy a 2.3, leave it stock, and save my money.

I'd take all the $ I've invested in my focus... (not including taxes, gas, payments or insurance) and buy the same focus I bought... and have it with $1900 worth of performance mods... not a $500 bumper and a $800 stereo. I'd have a cams, gears (intake already purchased), TB, VF mount (already have), FS udp(already have), and have my head P&Pd

If I were to do it again, I wouldn't have purchased a Focus.

If I could do it all over, I'd probably do a V8 swap, since I've probably spend that much $ on all the [censored] that's on my car now.

Hmmm, maybe a 2.3 Turbo?

Pick a better paint shop, not rush things & definitely have a solid plan & stick to it!!!

go slushbox again (that's right...i said go slushbox again), let lentech or PA have their way with it, and go nuts with a twin screw supercharger (roughly m62-m87 size) and an intake manifold from oscar and noszle.

Sounds pretty close to what I would do (and close to what I have). I'm really wishing I had something stiffer than the H&R Sport Springs.

If I could do it again, I wouldn't do it at all. Modding the car got really old very quickly. If I didn't put the car way in storage 6 months of the year I would have probably sold it already.

Now being older and wiser I'll stick to car that don't need modding.

Depending on price, maybe a 2.3....if its available on the sedan, I dont even know. If not, then I'd stick with the SPI. No Zetec for me

I'd buy my friend's hot rod 1942 Ford p/u (black primer & flames, on bags, rallyes, built 327, airbags) and just ENJOYED it.

I'd have gotten a used rex or RX-7 and modded the hell out of it. I didn't get into modding my focus until about 9 months after purchasing it.

i wouldnt have got ground effects, would have rather gone as a sleeper and put the spi rims on my focus
