My lock cylinder just started sticking, it wont let the key turn. I have to insert the key then pull it out part way and reinsert it before it will turn. Is it hard to replace the lock cylinder? I searched the instructions and it looks easy enough. How do I get a new cylinder keyed to my existing keys?
thanks

If you have a caliper and some mechanical knowledge you can key the new cylinder yourself. You have to measure the "stations" on your key and follow the instructions that come with the new cylinder.

replace it now before your key is stuck in there PERMANENTLY.

As for re-keying, what recar said works. the new cylinder comes with instructions for re-keying the new cylinder to work with your existing key.

Got the new cylinder in today. That was way easier than it looked like. It took longer to pull off all the trim to get to it than to change it.
Thanks for the help
