Hey focus fans
-i have recently wrapped my front two pillars, dome light housing, door panel inserts and handles, and center console and radio housing-
-with red fabric!!!
i have a step by step procedure if you are interested
it looks dope!!!!
-unitus
Heres how:
get some fabric (the stretchier the better)
a razor
spray glue (3m 77)
marker
take the parts off by pulling towars the center of the car
use a small screwdriver or putty knife to get the handle off
cut the fabric to size for each part
spray the parts with glue
plac eit on the fabric layed out on the table
smooth it out from the center to the ends
work slowly dont rush
then flip the part over to see the inside(the side not seen once re-installed)
spray that and the excess fabric with glue and start folding the fabric over while adding tension to ensure a tight fit
cut off the excess with razor
re-install
everything in that car basically snaps off
email me for details or questions
focus's's's's rule!!!

i've been thinking of this. i'm having my stuff painted/dyed right now... but i think next summer i'll have some down time and thought about doing it in vinyl with raised designs on the pillars, etc... kinda like people would do on a system, etc.

definitely want to see some pics. i like the painted look for now though... but things always change or at least lend good ideas for my future projects.

I would definitely like to see some pics. Sounds pretty damn cool. I recently painted a bunch of stuff, but I am always looking at new ideas.

kewl unitus!! I have the middle panel on my doors done also. I used blue vinyl from JoAnn Fabric. I didn't pry the panels off tho, i'm a pansy. i made a template of the panel, cut the vinyl a little larger all the way around, and used a butter knife and a few choice curse words to tuck it in tightly. The top corner closest to the door handle is a real bitch. I recommend notching the fabric so it wraps without puckering.
