Should i have it more stiff in the back or the front...Damn rookie sorry...
For everyday driving, full soft all the way around pretty much kicks ass. (Assuming you have stock springs.)
Doesn't the kit come with springs? If so, soft might be best for everyday driving. You can always make it stiffer if you feel the ride is to soft after awhile.
Well, since rear springs on the focus ususally have higher spring rates then their front end counter-parts, you can run your adjustable dampers a little more firm in the rear to have equal rebound F&R.

Exactly.
Generally soft all around, but if anything is firmer than the other end, it should be the rear.

I think he means the New Koni Sport Kit; springs and dampers...

whats the spring rates on these?
I asked this a while ago and nobody seems to know. Perhaps someone should call Koni to try and find out.

They CAN be figured out, but I forget how.
I think you have to take several measurements, and measuring calipers are required to figure the thickness of the coils IIRC.
Ask P-51, I'm sure he knows how to figure them out within a reasonable estimate.

Here's a quick & dirty way to do an estimate... This works best if you've got a home universal gym machine, but any set of bar-bell weights will do.

Set the spring vertically on a hard surface (like concrete) you will probably need to shim one side of the spring so it sits flat.

Measure hight of spring.

Apply weight to spring. Any amount of weight will do as long as you know exactly how much weight is applied, but it's best if you can get the spring to compress at least an inch- so you'll probably need 2-300 lbs.

Measure the new height of the spring & subtract from old height to get the difference.

Now you know lbs/measured distance. a little bit of fractional math will get you lbs/inch.

*Note: This works on constant-rate springs. Progressive springs would require several measurements with various amounts of weight to get a linear graph of spring rate.

Unless you know the specific grade of steel used & the method of manufacture, as well as some very complex enginering formulas, knowing the guage / thickness of the spring coils won't do you much good.

Its a secret, but wish i knew. They seem pretty stiff but on soft its beautiful around this bumpy ass town. the traction feels so much more especially between shifts its very easy going on into 2nd and 3rd im very happy.. Try to get some pics up soon..
hows the drop? im debating on getting the kit for about 700 shipped at new edge or going to tire rack for just the struts for 620.. i already have tein stech springs so it would be cheaper to go w/ just the struts. But i dont want to lose the drop and i know .5 inches isnt that much, but it makes a difference
.

So when u get ur pics can u show the height of it? and what tire size u got so i can figure it out. thanks

Do we have confirmation that these are the same struts as the regular koni yellow adjustables?

Yes they are!!!

Could you post up some pics of the car? I'm curious about the stance on this kit.
How is the ride and what was the drop?
