I've installed three Speedhut gauges over the years (different colors), but ran the wire into the fuse slots for the light switch--forget which fuse # it was; the Focus Hacks website indicates Fuse #47, if that helps. That is, I pulled out the fuse, stuck the wire into the slot for the fuse, then pushed the fuse over top of the wire. There may be a new design, but that's what I did back in 2006, and it's worked like a charm since 2006.
Also, I just wrapped the ground wire around a screw I found underneath near the fuse box.
Finished. Ran into trouble since the screw I chose on the fuse panel wasn't a ground. Couldn't figure it out, tested the overlay with a 9V, and it works. Ran a wire from the battery to make sure the ground was right, and voila. Decided to use a screw on the body/frame where the dash is attached.
Ok, this is what I have so far. I was going to take the car in for inspection but just recently (figures it always happens around that time) my wiring has come loose on my SVT seats in my non-SVT ZX5.
I am going to paste some info I have from a wiring diagram.

Right and left side, I removed the interior trim when I dropped my headliner to install a wagon rear dome light. Don't know what happened to them, I've since vacuumed the interior and if they fell out the area I was working on it has 58MM crushed limestone...
I just got a Sony XAV-AX100 for cheap (considering import taxes in Ecuador, the discounted $400 price was really cheap).
I got all the gear I need on the way, the metra kit, the harness, the antenna adapter, and even the steering wheel adapter thing. I thought I had done my homework but after...
