I just bought some euro svt wheels, but they came w/the 215/45's and wow they rub like crazy w/my eibach sportlines that are on now......I plan on getting the H.R cup kit later on w/the lower drop so I know I'm going to have to get the 40 series tires again, but I'm looking for something a lil wider then before, would a 215 be a good way to go?

I have 215/40/17's on my OZ Superlegs with a Progress 1.8" drop and don't rub a bit. I did a ton when I have 215/45/17's on the same rims.

Yes, 215/45 will rub with a significant drop if a smaller offset is used (42mm or 40mm as opposed to a 45mm offset). Since I don't know the offset of Euro SVT rims, I'm certain you can alleviate rubbing with 215/40, it's my next choice.

My 215-45-17 BFG KDW2 on a 17x7 40mm rubbed like hell (the BFG is know to be bigger that other tires in the same size) with my 1.8 progress springs. I rolled the fenders and it eliminated about 95% of the rubbing and looks SOOOO HAWT with that big tall fat tire crammed in there...IMO

cool cool......right now i have the eibach sportline drop....2 in the front and 2.25 in the back......and I plan on getting the H.R cup kit because:

1. I need struts badly
2. I might as well get a full setup and go lower lol

so pretty much I think i'm going to have no choice but to get a 205/40 and live w/the lil tire...even though the 215/40's are rubbing off on me I can't take all this rubbing
