Is there a difference between 12-13 and 2014 focus se suspension

So my dad recently bought a 2014 focus and lives halfway across the country from me and is coming to visit here in a few weeks and I want to surprise him with lowering springs, but I'm having troubles finding a set for a 2014 se focus but I am finding quite a few for 2012-13 and was wondering if anyone knew if there was a difference between them? I a thinking of going with either eibach or h&r what do you guys think?

From what I have read on other forums, yes there is a difference. People are still experimenting. The bottom of the springs don't sit right on 14-15s I believe. They are too wide. So you would have to get 12-13 struts as well. Which really aren't that costly.

X2 - different shape to the springs/strut mounting plate for them on the '14's.
