Its an air/fuel controller that alot people use to tune their cars. It may have other features but not sure off the top of my head. In the honda crowd they use a VAFC to control vtec and tune. THe safc is the non- vtec unit. I heard somewhere I think that they are not able to be used but I am not sure.

There have been a few posts about this. Supposedly our ECU will learn around it so it would basically be useless.
Yep. I asked this question a while back and the answer was that our ECU will learn it's way back around it. I'll try to find the link to my post.....

if ur too cheap to get a tune and want to use a piggy back then u'll have to unplug your o2 sensor to force the pcm into open loop . then a maf trickery will work . otherwise, in closed loop the ecu will learn what u r trying to do .

eitherway, don't be cheap and buy a tune.

if u want to make power for cheap, then buy a 50 shot wet nitrious kit and have it professionally installed.

i had a safc on my zx3 they dont work well, ecu was pulling fuel by 1 week ;). safc2 runs around 400 bucks save a bit more and buy a pro racer pack and u can add all the fuel u want and it will address timing and many other things.
