I\'ve gone insane, need details from the existing F/I guys

here's my thing. I'm looking to waste some cash next spring and Level 10 my auto SPI while force-feeding it somehow.

My questions are thus:

<ul type="square"> [*]Are the Zetec and SPI fuel injectors the same? [*]What flow rate will the stock fuel pump support? [*]Has anyone attempted this with a pre-existing Zetec supercharger kit before? If so, how successful were they? [*]What else will I require besides said kit, a tune (if not included), better fuel injectors, and the Level 10 transmission? [*]Also, as a bonus, what does the FRPP valve body upgrade handle in terms of power over the stock valve body? [/list]

I know the stock transmission cacks out around 130W WHP or so. I just want to be able to be unique (in Canada, anyways) and faster. Cost really doesn't matter, as it's still cheaper than a new Mustang and more fun in my books. Plus, I can haul the wife and some buddies in the sedan without having to move seats and such, as well as toys in the trunk. Can't beat that.

If anyone has an existing list of what's really required for a turbo kit, I'd appreciate it. I just want to bolt something up to the SPI. I've investigated the N/A route... and hell, N/A is weak compared to the money you spend.

WGA
MBC (recommended, but not necessary)
IC (recommended, but not necessary)
MAFS (I used Focus SVT MAFS)
EV6 Injectors (I dunno about Zetec compatability, though mine required the extension on the fuel rail)
Piping
Couplers
Clamps
TUNING
Oil lines

I'll post up when I think of more.

really the only difference between turboing an SPI and a Zetec is that our cars use a different Turbo Manifold, A ford Escort EXP 1.9l Mani will bolt up as well as a Ford Escort RS (european escort) mani will aslo work.

JGS also makes a manifold kit for our cars, so FI'd guys here are using that mani.

doubtfull. any supercharger would have to be modified to work on the SPI. The roots blowers would need a custom intake manifold since the SPI mani is totally different from the zetec. The easiest one to modify would be a centrifugal blower like a vortech. Youd only have to modify the mounting bracket and figure out the belt size/routing.

Also, as a bonus, what does the FRPP valve body upgrade handle in terms of power over the stock valve body?

Thanks guys, it's HUGELY appreciated. I was considering custom-fabbing something for a S/C kit, but research into it as well as info from one of FC.net's sponsors tells me that the DIY turbo kit would be the way to go. Not bad for a guy that basically told me he can't sell me a kit and live with himself.

I've also got an email into FocusSport, as a friend and fellow FC.net member has the FS / Vortech Stage 2 kit and it's SWEET. Very sweet. Now to see what any hiccups might be in adapting that for the SPI

Why does everyone want to spend so much $$ on custom supercharger when dollar for dollar a turbo would put out so much more power.

Also i look at it this way, look at how much drag out engine get with the AC on full blast. if you look at that and how a SC works a SC will put drag on the engine as well and not getting its full potential out of it.

honestly a turbo setup donesnt seem that hard to do, I mean look at the few here who have done it.

Hmmm. This is all really investigative work right now. Nothing big will happen before the spring, but I WILL start buying stuff as money allows if I can find a suitable solution.
