JRSC and Cool-Flo Installed, Please help

Ok, I just finished installing the JRSC and Cool-Flo tonight. Ran into some problems with the install, but eventually finished. I first turn the key to on, and the flashing light works, good start. Then I start the car and OMG, the noise is HORRIBLE. I didnt know what the hel it was, then realized it was coming from the ITG filter. OMG it is hideously loud and annoying. Is this normal? It also would fluxate sound every so often. My friend has a AEM CAI and his gave him a deep tone, not this high pitched crap. Please let me know if there is something wrong or if it is suppose to have the loud, high-pitched noise that sounds like a jet engine. After the initial reaction, I let the car warm up, everything fine, turned it off, then turned it on a couple of minutes later, and I had a CEL on. What could this be? I cant see any problems with connections, and the lights for the chip are still fine. Any insight is appreciated.

Congratulations! We just put our jrsc on this weekend also. We started ours and yes, the noise coming from the air cleaner was also loud, but we were used to the noise from our cai, with the air cleaner now at the stock location it was just that much louder with us standing there with the hood open. The noise should go away as soon as the motor heats up in a few minutes from a cold start.
We also have a cel, but we have been living with our cel for quite some time.
. Probably due to problems caused by our orp or cai. A cel could be caused by many things, I've heard that you can go to an autozone and they can scan your car.
Anyway, have fun with your jsrc.

JRSC + Cool-Flo = Jet Engine

I have it and it sounds exactly the same.
On cold starts my intake screams with the JRSC on. You guys that have the cel should go to Auto Zone and get them to scan it. That way you know what it is for sure, and its free. I had a cel after the install, it turned out being some type of radiator sensor that was reacting slow. The light has turned off by it self, and all my gauge readings are normal. No, cel in the last few days...knock on wood.

Damn, that isnt what I wanted to hear. Does the AEM SRI sound the same? I was hoping to get a nice deep tone, but ended up with this, for lack of better words, noise. Are there any better alternatives? Please help.

Also, should I worry about the CEL? I've put it in boost a couple of times, but am a little afraid something is not right. I hooked it up to a scanner when this happened, but the scanner only supported up to 2001, and for some reason, it was saying that the ECU was not communicating. Hopefully I will figure something out. Any help is appreciated.

I guess that answers my question on the SRI. Thats a good idea about going to Autozone, since my scanner doesn't seem like it is going to work. Hopefully, it is some bogus CEL like yours since all of my gauges are normal, as well as the indicator lights on the JR card. Thanks a lot and good luck with yours.

I have the AEM SRI, and it is very loud on cold starts as I stated above. After it warms to normal temp it subsides a bit, but is still audible. Kind of the way its going to be with a s/c. Just take your car to Auto Zone and have them scan it, its free! Let us know what you find.
I had mine profesionally Done at the Dealership I work at and nothing was wrong with mine. Congrats on installing it. The only noise I hear is from my Exhaust(New Magna Flow kit
)So im not sure what it is your hearing. Mine I know doesn't make that noise. I asked Oscar Jackson and he said there shouldn't be any trouble which is my case.
