My brother purchased one of these from you about 3-years ago when he had his Focus, but never installed it. Since it has been sitting around in a closet, out of the package for 3-years...is there anything I should look for as far as imperfections? Don't really want to put this thing on my car and have it dissintigrate.

If the belt wasn't subject to crimping or anything similar, I'd say you are fine. Just take a close look at it. It was designed to take a beating, so as long as their are no signs of cracking or breakage, you should be good to go.
