Now it truly is *****. Or a Fosion. I liked it better when it stood out better from the rest of the lineup. Like the new 5-series - just looks like a bigger 3-series.

Edit: Seriously? F u c u s is masked? It's not even a word.

Looks like it the electric version out now.

I was looking forward to the facelift because I've been on the fence about the current front bumper. I'm kinda disappointed with this rendering.

Lol, That was somebody's screen name on one of these forums.

It's lost the bottom breather look, and it's starting to look more Asian... which is probably what they want since that's the biggest growth market these days. But I won't be getting one anyway, there are too many nanny systems in all the new cars.

Agreed. All this safety needless price increasing BS is crammed into cars to make driving safer. But despite all efforts; the one aspect that needs to be improved, is allowed to get dumber and less attentive. Good going people! Way to march to autonomous transportation modules.

That said, the update looks way better than the current car. Less fake grill vents, and more inline with the rest of the Ford cars.

Not liking the manual being in the turbo 1.0 only.

I'm really getting sick of the new ford front end style. It was ok on the fusion. But for the rest of the line up? No thanks. It dosen't work for me.

I do like the new center stack. Far less gaudy and confusing then the current one. Sadly it will probably still be on the claustrophobic side like the current focus. Well for me it is. Glad I bought my 09' when I did. Still wish there was a hatch available for my generation focus.

Encouraging words:

However, Samardzich also revealed to Autocar that recent studies concluded customers for Ford’s high-performance vehicles were divided into very different groups. This is believed to have significantly strengthened the case for a Focus RS by abating fears that it would cannibalise Focus ST or Mustang sales.

“There’s more room for more performance products across the range in the small, medium and large car segments,” said Samardzich. “A whole suite of such cars is what I have in mind. I’m noting there are two different kinds of customers — one for ST products, which are fun but have an everyday usability, and another, more racing-focused customer who wants an RS-type car. Evolving both alongside Mustang is complementary; the customers for one don’t necessarily want the other.”

Finally! Some one at Ford has read any of the Ford enthusiast forums. Folks have been saying that well before Al Gore Humped his Motorola Dial-up modem.

Lets hope the idea has some legs, this time around.
