Does anyone have any expierience fitting an mfactory lsd into a duratec mtx75? an individual at 1 909-592-5933 (us tech support?) said it will not fit a duratec mtx75, only a zetec mtx75. (how does this make sense?) He then proceded to say a girl with a 2003 duratec could not fit it into her transmission. Wasn't the duratec a 2005 and later engine?

Vic was saying the internals are the same 2000-2011. Thinking about just going ahead with ordering it.

Don't know weather or not to thank James over at MFACTORY North America tech support for telling me the Diff they sell for the MTX 75 will not fit my focus MTX 75. I just purchased the Quaife differential.

This is a little late but WTF... I guess my tranny builder worked his magic. It fit nicely inside my 07 Duratec MTX75.
I would expect as much. The supposed "Tech Rep" at MFactory didn't seem very knowledgeable nor did he seem to care. I guess I was just pointing that out and the fact that he cost them business. Apparently MFactory doesn't really care as evidenced by their lack of response. I just went ahead and purchased the QUAIFE. I wanted to try the MFactory unit, but I'm not going to beg them to take my money.

To be fair, they probably only did testing on a zetec. So they dont know if a duratec is any different or the same. For business purposes its much easier to put zetec only, to prevent any mtx owner buying it, and saying " well it didnt fit, refund my opened, handled, pressed differential". Its like if I call Vortech and ask them if their 5.0 supercharger kit will work on a windsor engine. They will say no, but I know they are all identical drive assemblies. Just covering their buts as a company is all.

It will fit both, yes.

I had a chat with the sales rep, and the reason for him stating that was because a previous customer had issues installing it in their Duratec, but turned out it was the installer who did not know what they were doing and just based it on side-by-side observation of the dimensions.

wv_rider: Please accept my sincerest apologies for the disappointing service that you received, and will endeavour to make sure this doesn't happen again. Thank you for bringing this to my attention

The website specifically specifies MTX75. I hear you, but it does not state ZETEC MTX75 only. Right from the site.

I appreciate it, I did try my best to verify. I called multiple numbers provided on your website as well as the chat feature on your website to try to get a different person to talk to. I posted here back on the 2nd of Feb. I trust Vic from FSWERKS and believe he is correct concerning the differential being the same, however your tech rep was rather insistent.

For these European fitments, our US sales reps aren't the most knowledgeable unfortunately as it's mainly Honda that they specialise in. Out of curiosity, did you try give our UK facility a call?
No, I did not. I haven't had the best luck with overseas reps in the past.
